LOS PRINCIPALES FAVORITOS NO SE DEJAN SORPRENDER

Bonita jornada la que hemos vivido durante la ronda 2. Igual que pasaba en la jornada inaugural, los emparejamientos siguen desiguales. Sin embargo, más de un favorito ha sufrido de lo lindo para imponerse.

GM Julio Granda tuvo que emplearse a fondo para ganar la partida. Su rival, Javier Nieves, tras jugar la Defensa Benoni, fue directo al rey de Granda sacrificando pieza. Julio se defendió muy preciso y cuando logró simplificar la posición cometió un error que hizo que la partida volviera a estar igualada. Finalmente, el joven jugador valenciano no pudo mantener la partida equilibrada y abandonó.

Los Grandes Maestros Baklan y Bachmann, ganaron con solvencia sus respectivas partidas. Baklan fue apretando con las piezas negras a su rival desde la apertura y Bachmann sacó ventaja en un fallo táctico de su rival, que le obligó a abandonar.

En la mesa 4, el MF de Albacete Sergio Serna estuvo luchando durante 4 horas y media para conseguir las tablas con el GM Candelario, pero no tuvo premio. El extremeño, una vez más, hizo gala de su gran técnica para ganar la partida.

Todos los demás Grandes Maestros vencieron sus partidas excepto el serbio Dusan Popovic y el cubano Aramis Álvarez.

A nivel regional, destacar el resultado del simpático jugador manchego Francisco Javier Sánchez Carrasco que venció al MF Luis Javier Fontana.
